So, what do you do?
Handstands?
Calisthenics?
Flexibility?
Movement?
To be honest, this is a question that even I find hard to answer. Movement has always been a passion of mine, ever since I can remember. But I’ve always struggled with deciding exactly what to focus on.
Here’s the truth: what I really aspire to be is an All-Round Athlete and Coach.
My time is spent in two main areas: developing my own practice and teaching my students things they never thought possible.
My own practice is all about hand-balancing, flexibility, and calisthenics (bodyweight fitness). If you follow me on Instagram or watch my YouTube videos (if you don’t, check them out!), then you’ll know I’m passionate about sharing all my training knowledge and secrets.
I put that knowledge into practice for my clients. I teach all over the world in two different languages, design programs, help with injury recovery, give real-time feedback through video and written communication, provide nutrition guidance, and always hold my students accountable.
But how did I get here?
I’ve always enjoyed training. From a young age, I was involved in Judo, Capoeira, Swimming, Volleyball, Acrobatics, and the list goes on…
A few years ago, I saw someone doing a one-arm handstand at the beach and immediately became fascinated by the incredible capabilities of the human body, eventually training for that skill myself.
I started taking bodyweight training and movement seriously in 2019 while I was serving in the military. I remember training between guarding duties. I didn’t have much spare time to train, but it was my escape. Pursuing the abilities of our bodies is not only fun but also life-giving.
I am mostly self-taught but draw a lot of inspiration from people like FitnessFAQs, Tom Merrick, Calisthenics Movement, The Handstand Factory, Matthew Smith, and Eduardo Orihuela.
It took me four years, but I eventually hit my goal of a 10-second One Arm Handstand in March 2023, and I’ve kept growing from there. Now, I have taught hundreds of people how to get rid of old injuries, start moving the way they want, and achieve skills they thought were impossible.
Right now, I feel like I am living a childhood dream, helping people the same way I needed help at the beginning of my journey. Through the everyday tasks of answering questions about exercises and injuries, I remind myself how grateful I am for where I am today, and I can’t wait to see where I can evolve from here.
I hope to be a part of your journey.
